At the Chautauqua County Legislature's annual reorganizational meeting, County Executive Paul M. Wendel Jr. shared his vision for 2025 and offered congratulations to the newly elected leadership team. The meeting took place in Mayville, New York.

Wendel expressed optimism for the upcoming year, stating, “I would like to congratulate everyone on returning for what I believe will be a stellar 2025.” He extended special congratulations to Jamie Gustafson and Tom Nelson for joining the leadership team and acknowledged Pierre Chagnon's unanimous re-election as Chair of the Legislature.

The County Executive also welcomed new legislators Tamara Dickey and Tom Carl, showing enthusiasm about working with them. He addressed potential disagreements within the Legislature but emphasized representation of constituents as a priority: “It's no doubt that we may not always agree on everything here in the Legislature, but I know that each of you will represent your constituents to the best of your ability."

Wendel highlighted collaboration and open communication as essential components for success. He stated, “Nothing is beyond our grasp. I am confident that, working together, we can achieve greatness." He assured legislators that his door is always open and encouraged them to reach out as they work together in 2025.
