The Suicide Prevention Alliance of Chautauqua County and Chautauqua Health and Fitness at the Turner Center have announced the cancellation of the 2025 Kick Cabin Fever Indoor Triathlon. The decision comes due to planned facility renovations this winter. The event, popular among winter wellness enthusiasts, is expected to return in 2026 with new features.
Event founder Cheryl Burns commented on the situation: "It is often we have to miss an important event due to what life throws our way. Our minds immediately tune into another goal and make a commitment that it will turn out even better the next time."
Although this year's triathlon is canceled, participants are encouraged to stay active through other winter activities. Suggestions include trying new workout routines, outdoor activities such as snowshoeing or cross-country skiing, or joining fitness classes.
