The Village of Sinclairville has announced the lifting of mandatory water use restrictions initially put in place due to a gasoline spill. The advisory had been issued to facilitate the shutdown of two village wells near the site of a traffic accident on Route 60. The cleanup process has concluded, and the wells have resumed operations.

In response to concerns about potential contamination, these wells will undergo increased monitoring over the coming months to ensure that water quality remains unaffected by the spill.

Village officials expressed gratitude for residents' cooperation during this period. Residents seeking more information are encouraged to contact the Village of Sinclairville at (716) 962-9455 or reach out to the Chautauqua County Health Department at (716) 753-4481.
