The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office has announced a travel advisory for the entire county due to heavy lake-effect snow. The advisory will remain in effect until further notice, as the weather conditions have made travel challenging, particularly in Northern and Western parts of the county.
Motorists are urged to avoid any unnecessary travel during this period. The sheriff's office reports that first responders are currently managing several accidents and vehicles that have gone off the road. Residents are advised to exercise caution if they must travel.
"Please use caution," emphasized the sheriff's office in their statement.
