The Glow Your Mind 5K event, organized by the Suicide Prevention Alliance of Chautauqua County, took place on September 28, 2024, at Jackson-Taylor Park in Jamestown, NY. The event aimed to promote mental health awareness and suicide prevention as part of Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month. Participants donned glowing gear as they ran or walked in support of the cause.

Brad Barmore, founder of Eager to Run (E2R), made a notable contribution to the alliance's mission. "Eager to Run is all about building a community that motivates and uplifts one another, and we’re proud to support the Suicide Prevention Alliance in their efforts to do the same," Brad said. His donation will aid in promoting mental wellness and providing essential resources.

David Reinhardt from Trackqua managed race timing for the participants. The evening concluded with a Glow Party featuring DJ Vic's music, photography by Jermaine James Photography, face painting by Festive Faces Painting by Jen, among other activities. The State University of New York at Fredonia’s Women’s Lacrosse team was also present.

Carri Raynor, Director of the Suicide Prevention Alliance, expressed gratitude: "I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, community partners, and volunteers who showed up, lit up, and stood up for suicide prevention." She also thanked Brad Barmore for his generous donation and surprise medals for runners.

The alliance aims to raise awareness about mental health issues through events like this one. They are already planning next year's race with new features expected.
