Cattaraugus County Election Commissioners Kevin Burleson and Cortney Spittler have announced that October 26 is the final day to register to vote in the upcoming General Election. The General Election Day in New York State is scheduled for Tuesday, November 5.
Voter registration forms can be obtained at the Board of Elections office located at 207 Rock City St., Suite 100, Little Valley, as well as at town and village clerks' offices and county post offices. Forms are also available for download from the New York State Board of Elections website or at www.CattCo.org. Additionally, voters may register online through the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles at https://voterreg.dmv.ny.gov/MotorVoter or at https://elections.ny.gov/register-vote.
“To vote in the General Election, you must be registered by Oct. 26. You can choose to vote early via early mail or absentee ballot (if you qualify by application), vote early in person, or vote in person on Election Day. You can apply for an early mail or absentee ballot on the New York Elections website at least 10 days before the election, or in-person at our office until Nov. 4. Those ballots then need to be received by your county Board of Elections by Nov. 10,” said Spittler.
Early Voting will take place from October 26 through November 3 at two locations: the Cutco Theater at Jamestown Community College Cattaraugus Campus in Olean and in the gymnasium of the former Little Valley School, located at 207 Rock City St., Little Valley.
Information on Early Voting hours is available at www.cattco.org for the November 5 General Election.
