Attica Central School District in Wyoming County topped the list with most students enrolled during 2022-23 school year

Attica Central School District had the highest enrollment among Wyoming County school districts, welcoming 1,144 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the New York State Education Department.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.8% of them were boys, and 49.2% were girls.

Data also showed that the majority of students were white, making up 94.1% of Attica Central School District's total enrollment.

Among the five districts in Wyoming County, Letchworth Central School District ranked second in enrollment numbers with 915 students, while Warsaw Central School District welcomed 807 students and ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Attica Central School District roughly covers schools within Wyoming County and has a main office in Attica.

In the previous school year, Attica Central School District also had the highest number of students among Wyoming County districts.

In 2022, New York had roughly one teacher for every 12 students, which is lower than the national average of one teacher for every 16 students. A lower student-to-teacher ratio has been found to improve students' school performance.
