About 18.9 percent of the 1,119 degrees and certificates handed out by SUNY at Fredonia in 2017-18 were to students in education programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Fredonia conferred 159 bachelor's degrees and 33 master's degrees in education programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general business administration and management. Data shows the school gave out 100 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management, followed by 53 bachelor's degrees in "other" multi-/interdisciplinary studies and 53 bachelor's degrees in general psychology.

The SUNY at Fredonia enrolled 4,655 students for 2017-18, including 4,431 in undergraduate programs and 224 in graduate programs.
