Fire alarm incident at Chautauqua County EOC causes no injuries or disruptions

At around 9:30 AM on January 1, 2025, a fire alarm was activated at the Chautauqua County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in Mayville, New York. The alarm was triggered by what is believed to be a malfunctioning motor in a roof heating unit.

Emergency personnel arrived quickly at the scene, and no injuries were reported. There was no further damage to the facility. Importantly, emergency services operations continued without interruption, and all systems are fully operational.
