MAYVILLE, NY – Chautauqua County Government announced Monday that the solar eclipse glasses provided to residents have been confirmed as authentic and safe. The County has received and released a Certificate of Conformity, ensuring the certification and safety of the glasses.

In a statement, the County assured residents by saying, "We want to reassure our residents that the solar eclipse glasses provided by Chautauqua County are not only certified but also undergo stringent safety measures. These glasses were purchased from Fyre Marketing LLC in Florida through a comprehensive public procurement bid process, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards."

The product description on the Fyre Marketing invoice clearly specifies the materials used for the glasses, stating that they are made from Paper Board and equipped with shade 14 safe solar lenses designed specifically for eclipse viewing. Additionally, the glasses are CE certified and ISO compliant, meeting the international safety standard ISO #12312-2.
