MAYVILLE, NY – With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, the community of Chautauqua County is mourning the loss of former Legislator Jay Gould, whose dedicated public service has left an indelible mark on the region.

Gould, who represented District 17 comprising several towns, served on the Chautauqua County Legislature for over 20 years until his retirement in 2022.
