MAYVILLE, NY – The Chautauqua County Department of Mental Hygiene and Social Services, in collaboration with Gustavus Adolphus (GA) Family Services, YWCA Jamestown, and Court Appointment Special Advocate (CASA), is set to host The "Real" Game of Life Resource Fair on April 3rd, 2024, at GA Family Services from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event, aimed at Chautauqua County youth aged 14-21, will provide valuable resources and support to assist young adults in their transition into adulthood. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with local organizations offering assistance in various areas such as employment, education, housing, finance, transportation, and healthcare.
Participants can look forward to interacting with representatives from different agencies, taking part in live life-skill demonstrations, and even winning exciting prize baskets. By engaging with vendors, attendees will have the chance to earn raffle tickets for prizes including an e-bike package valued at over $1,200.
The Resource Fair has seen the involvement of organizations like local banks, educational institutions such as SUNY Jamestown Community College, employment agencies like Job Corps and Chautauqua Works, as well as community organizations like Prevention Works.

The "Real" Game of Life Resource Fair is a collaborative effort between the Independent Living (IL) Program of Chautauqua County Department of Mental Hygiene and Social Services, Gustavus Adolphus Accountability & Responsibility (GA A&R IL) Program, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Chautauqua County, and YWCA Jamestown.
