MAYVILLE, NY – Commissioners Luz E. Torres and Brian C. Abram of the Chautauqua County Board of Elections have announced Early Voting dates, times, and locations for the April 2, 2024 Presidential Election.

All Democratic and Republican party members will be eligible to vote in the April 2, 2024 Presidential Primary Election. All other party members or voters without a designated party are not eligible to vote in this Primary Election.

"You must have been registered with a political party who is having a Primary Election by February 14th," notes Commissioner Abram.

Chautauqua County will open four poll sites for Early Voting for the Presidential Primary," stated Commissioner Torres & Abram.

The Early Voting sites include the Chautauqua County Fairgrounds, Chautauqua Mall, Robert H. Jackson Center, and the Board of Elections Office in Mayville.

Each location will have signage indicating the entrances to the poll site. Registered Democratic or Republican voters in Chautauqua County can visit any of these four early voting poll sites to cast their ballot early.

"We are very proud of the partnerships we have built, we look forward to continuing to serve the voters and providing them the best voting experience," noted Commissioner Torres.

Early Voting will take place from Saturday, March 23 to Saturday, March 30, with hours from 11AM to 8PM on Monday and Tuesday, and 9AM to 6PM on all other days. Early Voting will not be held on Easter Sunday, March 31st, or Monday, April 1st.

An additional hour has been added to each day to accommodate the closure on Easter Sunday, providing 8 days of Early Voting and 9 hours of voting each day, totaling 72 hours of opportunity for voters to cast their ballot early.

All Early Voting sites are handicap accessible and provide a Ballot Marking Device for voters with disabilities.

Voters who cast their ballot early will not be able to vote again during subsequent Early Voting days or on Election Day. If an Early Mail or Absentee Ballot is requested, voters will only be able to vote using a Provisional Affidavit Ballot on Election Day.

The Board of Elections website, www.votechautauqua.com, has Sample Ballots available for voters to view before heading to a poll site. Sample Ballots will also be available at each Early Voting site.
