The Cattaraugus County Treasurer's Office is set to conduct an in-person property auction for two parcels located in the City of Olean, New York. The auction follows a Judgment of Foreclosure dated May 5, 2024.
Scheduled for December 20, 2024, the auction will commence at 10:00 a.m. at the first property location. The second parcel will be auctioned on-site at 10:30 a.m.
Participants interested in bidding must provide a bid deposit equal to ten percent of their bid amount. This can be paid in cash or by certified check during the auction. The county will retain this deposit until either the County Legislature rejects the bid or, if accepted, until the sale closes. Should a high bidder refuse to complete the purchase after legislative approval, they will forfeit their deposit to the county.
The highest bids from each parcel will be submitted to the County Legislature for consideration. The legislature has a period of 30 days to accept or reject these bids post-auction. No transaction is finalized without legislative approval.
The County retains discretion to remove any property from the auction list prior to its sale. Comprehensive terms and conditions are accessible through the office of the County Treasurer.
