The Cattaraugus County Youth Bureau has announced the availability of State-Funded Youth Development and Sports Grants, offering up to $50,000 for eligible programs. Not-for-profit and community-based organizations are encouraged to apply for these grants.
Applications for the Youth Development Program will be accepted until December 31, 2024. The funding is intended for youth development programs targeting individuals under age 21, covering areas such as civic engagement, career exploration, and the arts. Additionally, sports programs for children under age 18 are also eligible.
The grants can be used to cover costs associated with instructors, equipment, facility expenses, and more. The funding period extends from October 24, 2024, through September 30, 2025.
Priority consideration will be given to under-resourced communities. "The New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) is proud to support positive, healthy youth development," stated a representative from OCFS.
Interested organizations can begin the application process on the Youth Development Program Application available on the Cattaraugus County Data Portal.
