77.7% of Cattaraugus County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 77,211 citizens living in Cattaraugus County in 2021, 77.7% were old enough to vote, equating to 60,010 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 29,804 were male, constituting 49.7%, and 30,206 were female, making up 50.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Cattaraugus County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 79%.
