WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Nick Langworthy (NY-23) released the following statement after New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ press conference today:

“Democrats in New York City and Albany created a sanctuary haven for illegal immigration and now that they’re experiencing the consequences of their failed policies, they’re scrambling to save face,” said Rep. Langworthy. “It’s bad enough they’re having taxpayers foot the bill to house migrants at hotels and SUNY dorms, but now they have an insane—and illegal—vision to move them into our private homes?! Democrats are welcome to open up the rooms of Gracie Mansion and the Governor’s Mansion, but over our dead bodies should we allow the government to mandate this outrageous violation of our personal property rights.”

Congressman Nick Langworthy represents the 23rd Congressional District of New York, including Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Chemung, Schuyler, and Steuben Counties and parts of Erie County.
