Trustee Duties & Responsibilities Workshop
Date and Time:
Join us for this fundamental workshop that touches upon the Ten Responsibilities for Library Trustees as well as Duty of Care, Duty of Obedience, and Duty of Loyalty.
We will also discuss current topics related to Collection Management, Challenged Library Materials, Social Media and Public Communication Policies, and First Amendment Audits.
Trustees will leave this workshop with a good understanding of their broad roles for governing public libraries, and a sense of confidence specific to current issues facing library collections, programs, and overall services.
Library Trustee Learning Certified: This workhop meets New York State Legislated Library Trustee Training requirements, and counts as 1.0 credit hour towards annual library trustee training. Participants will be emailed a certificate upon completion for library record keeping.
