Alfred village issued the following announcement on Apr 7.
Dear Campus Community,
I regret to inform you that for the first time, one of our on-campus employees has received a positive test result for COVID-19. As is our protocol, anyone who was recently in close contact has been notified. Cleaning and sanitation has been performed in their work area.
We continually update information about those who are on precautionary quarantine and any test results at AlfredState.edu/COVID-19/Cases. To protect privacy, no personally identifiable information is included.
Our fellow Pioneer who tested positive is currently admitted to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. I ask for all of us to keep them in our prayers.
