Lisa Tibbetts, a 48-year-old resident of Jamestown, has been sentenced to seven years in state prison for methamphetamine trafficking. This decision was made by Judge David Foley on May 12, 2025. Tibbetts was convicted of two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, both classified as “B” felonies. In addition to her prison sentence, she will also face two years of post-release supervision.
Tibbetts entered a guilty plea to these charges on February 25, 2025. Her conviction follows an extensive investigation conducted by the Jamestown Metro Drug Taskforce and the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force into her involvement in methamphetamine trafficking.
District Attorney Jason L. Schmidt expressed gratitude towards the law enforcement agencies involved in the case. “The DA would like to thank the Jamestown Police Department and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for their hard work on this case.”
