On Friday, Feb. 28, former Gowanda High School standout John Ondus’ current college team, the Niagara Purple Eagles, lost 16-11 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Valparaiso Beacons.

The game took place at Emory G. Bauer Field. This was their second matchup against the Beacons this season.

The Purple Eagles’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 7 at 2 p.m. at Joe Nathan Field against Stony Brook Seawolves.
