Chautauqua County is organizing a ceremony to remember the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The event will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at noon outside the Chautauqua County Courthouse in Mayville.

The ceremony is being organized in partnership with the local American Legion and will include remarks from local officials, a moment of silence, and a traditional 21-gun salute. The program aims to honor the memory of over 3,000 people who died during the attacks at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and on Flight 93 in Pennsylvania.

A livestream of the event will be available on Chautauqua County’s YouTube page for those who cannot attend in person. The public is invited to attend and no RSVP is necessary.
