Cattaraugus County seeks storm damage reports; no reimbursement promised

An area in central Cattaraugus County experienced significant damage due to strong storms on June 9, 2025. The Cattaraugus County Office of Emergency Services is gathering information from affected businesses and homeowners to document and track the damage. This information will not be used for reimbursement purposes.

Residents whose properties have been damaged by flooding are encouraged to report their damages. They can do so by contacting the Office of Emergency Services or using an online form provided by the office. For those without internet access, a public assistance line is available at 716-938-9119, operational Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The collected reports are solely for tracking purposes at this time. There is no current indication that financial assistance from FEMA or any other entity will be available. However, if financial aid becomes accessible in the future, individuals who have reported their damages will be notified.
