Many areas in eastern Cattaraugus County experienced significant damage due to heavy rainfall on June 6, 2025. The Cattaraugus County Office of Emergency Services is gathering information from affected businesses and homeowners. Residents whose properties have been damaged by the flooding are encouraged to share their information with the Office of Emergency Services. Those able to access the internet can use an online form to report damage. Alternatively, residents without online access can call the Cattaraugus County Office of Emergency Services at 716-938-9119, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The office is currently collecting damage reports solely for tracking purposes. “There is no indication that reimbursement from FEMA or any other entity is or will be available,” stated the office. However, if financial assistance becomes available in the future, those who have reported their damages will be notified.
